The First Week Homeschool Reset Checklist

Recorded June 20, 2026 using PDFtoMarkdown.ai's MCP tool on our own six-page checklist, with force_ocr: false. Other options were not explicitly supplied. This is a verbatim excerpt of saved output, not a new conversion.

This excerpt shows one heading, a paragraph, and three list items. Other sections, page markers, and image references are omitted. It does not demonstrate tables, equations, OCR accuracy, or complete-document fidelity.

## Start Here

This first week is not for solving your entire homeschool future. It is for calming the house, starting a tiny rhythm, and avoiding expensive panic decisions.

- Do not recreate school at home.
- Do not buy a full year of curriculum while panicked.
- Track enough to remember what happened — not so much that tracking becomes the school day.

This heading and three bullets show the text structure available to a Markdown note. This is conversion output, not an Obsidian import test. The full saved response contains image references; this text-only excerpt does not include those images.

What to check before adding a note

Review headings and lists

Compare the note outline and list items against the PDF. The recorded excerpt below shows one heading, one paragraph, and three bullets.

Keep the source nearby

Keep a reference to the original PDF so you can verify numbers, quotations, tables, and missing context later.

Check attachments separately

An image reference is not the image file. Check exported assets and relative paths before expecting images to display in your vault.

How to import PDFs into Obsidian

From PDF to a reviewable note

Use converted Markdown as a first-pass note, then add your own links and commentary. Conversion does not create Obsidian backlinks or frontmatter for you.

  1. Upload your PDF to PDFtoMarkdown.ai
  2. Download the Markdown file
  3. Compare the Markdown with the PDF and correct missing or reordered content
  4. Move the reviewed .md file into your Obsidian vault and open it as a note
  5. Add source links, tags, and frontmatter; check any image paths separately
